In a big way! Programming is a tool to make repetitive tasks easier. You can use programming to pull out data from huge spreadsheets and plot them into graphs. You can use programming to change file names and move things to where you want them to be. You can use programming to get your computer to say “get on with your work you lazy man” if you spend too long doing not doing you work! Okay, maybe not so much the last one… But yes, the applications are endless.
