Now this is beyond the realms of science, and more about sociology and politics! I can only give an opinion on it. Communism has worked for certain countries in the past, however capitalism is becoming the norm in society nowadays. The political systems only work in ideal (perfect) societies, but no society is ideal. I don’t think any one of these are effective ways of country management.

Not yet. Or perhaps my question to you should be: works for whom? I would say it works rather well for those in charge, but perhaps less well for those who are not. Pure communism doesn’t exist–so it might work if we weren’t imperfect human creatures–but what would be the fun of that!

When I was a teenager, I was very political so I thought so. The sad fact of growing up is you realise the world is imperfect 🙁

Communism has worked on a small scale in isolated countries but it assumes that everyone is the same and is happy to recieve the same but as we all know thats not reality in life. Many people who have been subjected to communism have either tried to overthrow the system or escape to countries elsewhere that have different systems (that may or may not actually be better!). With this in mind I would say that it doesn’t work.
