I don’t have an electric car yet, one of the reasons is that I don’t have anywhere to charge it up at my home and they are still quite expensive. Most of my journeys are made on foot, by bike or by train so I don’t use my car very much. I would definitely get as and petrol and diesel car sales will be banned in the UK from 2040 but even electric cars are still polluting as tire and brake wear create lots of toxic particles.
I don’t have an electric car, mostly because at the time of buying the car we have, they were all quite expensive. A hybrid car is currently more practical as you get the best of both worlds. Ultimately, I hope our world supports only electric cars–maybe in 15 years or so??
I don’t own a car – my job hires a car for me when I need to drive somewhere. I prefer not owning a car as it encourages me to cycle or walk or take the train to get places.
No I don’t currently, and as it stands, there’s just not enough charging points to get one! If this improves, as it will over the years, I’d be happy to have an electric vehicle.
