I work for a university so I am an educator but most of my ‘students’ are adults working in other industries and I am making them aware of their impact on air quality and how they can change what they do so that they are less polluting.

Teaching is a big part of my job. My students are studying Zoology and Ecology at university and although most of the academic staff teach at universities, we don’t spend all of our time teaching. In a typical term I’ll be teaching 6 hours a week, but the students aren’t here over the holidays or in the summer. As well as that kind of teaching, I also have postgraduate students who are doing research. My job there is to help ‘teach’ them to become scientists… but it’s more about guiding them rather than really teaching them.
