I think the worst thing about my job is not quite knowing when my cells are going to be ready! I can estimate how long it will take them to grow, but it seems sometimes my cells sense when I’d like them to be ready and take deliberately longer– throwing all my experiment plans out of the window with them. That means when I have cells going, I can never make definite plans– which can be very frustrating.
I think the worst thing in my job is whether my idea will work or not. I never know in advance for sure, but I still have to invest a lot of money and my time and effort on this. It is always a risk that I have to take, sometimes it turns out well, sometimes it doesn’t!
