I hope that by finding new ways of using the MRI scanner doctors will be able to diagnose diseases of the heart (like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) earlier. If we no about diseases earlier we can start treating them earlier and keep an eye of them to make sure they don’t get worse. We can also use the scanner to see how well treatments are working and use this information to help develop new treatments.
