Not anymore.
I was working on the Major Crime Section at Greater Manchester Police for a couple of years.
There I had to deal with the most serious of offences, including murders
No – most crime scenes are related to more common crime types, such as burglary.
Thankfully murders are much less common so we don’t deal with these on a daily basis.
The majority of cases I was asked to assist with were murder enquiries or enquiries in cases of suspicious deaths. However, I have also assisted in cases involving drugs (organised crime), suspected violations of CITES, and suspected fraudulent misrepresentation of food.
I often help in locating serious criminals, such as when someone is murdered or badly hurt. Our memories can be very helpful in these cases to give an account of what happened and to create the face of the person responsible.
