Question: If you won what science experiments would you show the children ?

I would show them and let them try some of the common experimental techniques I use in the lab. These include ‘western blotting’ which lets you measure how much of a specific protein is in your chosen tissue and ‘qPCR’ which is does the same thing but measures mRNA which is a messenger molecule similar to DNA which tells the cells which proteins to make. I would also show some histology, this involves making very thin slices of tissue or organs then putting them on microscope slides. You can then stain them for specific things you are interested in and see where they are in the tissue under the microscope.
