I will advise that you definately do Biology. Most Universities will expect another science as well to get into an animal science related degree. Goodluck!
My friend did Zoology at Aberystwyth Uni. If I remember correctly he did 2 sciences (pretty sure he didn’t do biology and still go in) and then another subject.
It depends on what part of Zoology you are interested in. He likes animal behavior so did psychology. If your more a biology person that would good too.
Overall I suggest biology will help lots, another science (Chemistry is probably a good one) and if your into animal behavior psychology.
My friend studies zoology at university, and she said as zoology is animal biology, studying biology is a must! Studying chemistry would also be useful for understanding at the molecular level!
I was very jealous of her because she got to go Africa for a month to study the monkeys there!
Yep, I would say biology. Also, if you are really interested in that sort of thing and haven’t chosen your AS Levels yet, check the course descriptions for different universities and check what they ask for before you choose your subjects for AS and A Level. Then you won’t suddenly find out you’re missing a qualification!
Definitely biology, like the others have said, and also psychology if you think you’ll be interested in animal behaviour. If you have someone at your school who helps with university applications, ask them, and check the websites for all the universities you’re interested in 🙂 Good luck!
