• Question: what is the life span ofa filament in a average light bulb ?

      Ooo interesting question. Well it depends on the power of the bulb and the amount you use it.

      Incandescent bulbs typically have short lifetimes compared with other types of lighting; around 1,000 hours for home light bulbs versus typically 10,000 hours for compact fluorescents and 30,000 hours for lighting LEDs.

      There is a place in the USA that claims to have had the same lightbulb in and switched on for 113 years however!

      If you want to be green and energy efficient switch to LEDs.
