• Question: is the process of making bubbles complicated?

      It’s really complicated!
      We’re trying to split water into hydrogen and oxygen using chromophores and catalysts (because this is how plants do it and we’re trying to copy them). Chromophores absorb light and give out electrons. Catalysts make a reaction easier.
      We can split water into oxygen and protons and that requires one chromophore and one catalyst.
      We then need to convert the protons into hydrogen. That requires another chromophore and another catalyst and then we have to link the oxygen catalyst and chromophore and the proton catalyst and chromophore together with an electrical circuit.
      The good thing is though, I work as a huge team and each of are responsible for different bits of the project. So that makes it a little more simple.
