• Question: how do planets turn into dwarf planets

      It’s not that they turn into dwarf planets, it’s got to do with how we name them based on a set of rules. Basically, if a celestial body (basically something in space, like a planet an asteroid, etc) fits in that set of rules we call it a planet, but if one of those rules is not met then it is classed as a dwarf planet.
