• Question: do you work about the sea? and if so is there a kind of shark thats friendly? sharks are one of my favourite animals!

      I work mainly on beaches, but when I’m lucky I get to go out in boats and work on the sea. My favourite type of boat is called a rigid inflatable boat, and it has an engine and can ride through big waves. Sometimes I get to drive one, which is amazing fun :-).
      I love sharks too! My favourite is a type called a basking shark, have you heard of them? They live off the west coast of Scotland where I live, and in other places around the UK. They are friendly, because they only eat really tiny animals called plankton, so would never bite you. They are really huge though, can be much longer than me if I lie down next to one. And have huge mouths! In some places you can go swimming next to them, because they are really curious, and live to see what you are…
