I have seen a lot of endangered animals in zoos, wildlife parks, and wildlife reserves. But the most endangered I have seen in the wild is probably the sea otter or basking sharks, which I have seen a few times off the islands on the west of Scotland.

The most endangered animal that I have seen is the Red Panda, in the jungles of Sikkim, India.

The next on list would be Tigers that I have seen in the Jim Corbett Forests, India.

The rarest and most endangered animal I have ever seen would be an orangutan, which I saw in Borneo, in Malaysia, when I was doing a rainforest soils study. The research centre we staying in was right by the virgin forest and one evening we were having dinner when a baby orangutan swung in, grabbed some rambutan fruits from the tree and started sharing dinner time with us! Everyone on the fieldtrip was so surprised we couldn’t do anything but sit as still as possible and watch! Eventually the mum showed up and took the baby away, but those 15 minutes sharing dinner with a wild orangutan was the best meal I have ever had!
