Question: what advice would you give to someone considering science as a career

I would suggest that if science interests you, then pursuing a career in it is the right thing to do. Research in science is always a very interesting career path as you have the opportunity to find out answers that nobody else has tried before, come up with solutions for problems of the world and have the satisfaction of contributing to the society.

Another interesting career in science is in Industry. Science graduates are in demand in a number of manufacturing industries, direct involvement in the production, research and development of day-to-day use products.

Yet another career path in science is teaching. Science teaching is in huge demand in schools and at university level. Gaining enough expertise and eventually sharing your knowledge with students and creating a new generation of science enthusiasts could be a very rewarding career as well.
