Everything is made of particles… you, me, the moon, the walls in your school… everything.

We use models to help us better understand how these particles behave. So if you’d like to know how steal reacts when you its heats on a steam locomotive – you could look at the steal model. What happens when its heated or cooled?

A model lets us measure these effects so that we can use these measurements in more complicated situations… like the steam locomotive. Imagine measuring steal on a moving train!!
