      If your heart stopped working, blood would not be pumped around your body. This would cut off oxygen to the brain, and your other organs, and cause them to stop working, which stops the rest of your body from working.

      This is why if someones heart stops working they can still be ok if they get CPR and medical attention quickly enough.
