I realised when I was about 9 years old. I was always interested in how things work. I dismantled my portable TV to try and understand how it worked. I was in serious trouble when it didn’t work after I put it back together :-). I love to ask questions and try and find answers and that means Science is a place I can do that effectively.

I always loved science, being curious and trying to understand how the world worked. I think I really decided that I wanted to be scientist when I was choosing what to study at A-level and what options they would give me after school.

I’ve always found science interesting, especially human biology but didn’t properly decide until I tried doing some research projects in university and realising that I enjoyed research!
