I think most of the time being a scientist is very fun. You get to be creative and imaginative, and discover new things. However science can also be very hard and frustrating, experiments can go wrong and all of a sudden you have to change the way you think that the world works.
Many times the best discoveries come from the most frustrating things though. For example in one study adrenaline was given to patients with weak hearts. Since adrenaline makes your body stronger the doctors thought it help the patients. However the opposite happened and the patients became more sick! After this the doctors tried giving the patients another drug, called a beta blocker, which calms the body down. More patients survived with this drug, and it is still being used today.
Yes it is very fun you are constantly finding out new things that no body else in the world has found out before! However like Gabriel says, things can often not go the way you want them to and it can be very frustrating if you have the passion though it doesn’t matter!
Yes it is. After all the hard work I do, I enjoy setting down and analysing my data to find out how my experiment went. The most exciting thing is when I get the results I expected. However, it can be challenging and frustrating but if you love what you do, you will enjoy it
I agree with everyone else. It’s definitely fun, or we wouldn’t do it–but there are also times when it’s frustrating or tedious. But I think that’s true of any job. I think most things are fun if you’re willing to perceive them that way.
