• Question: do you specialise in more then piece of science if so what ones?

      Yes, I think now it is fairly common to specialise in more than one area of science. So I, for example, bridge the gap between Geology and Geography so I have some knowledge on palaeontology and some knowledge on ice sheets, glaciers and sea-level change!

      100 years ago scientists often focused on one area, like Einstein who was very amazing at physics! Today scientists have to combine different sciences, because problems today are very complicated. I studied computers but medicine is very new to me. Thankfully I have many clever doctors around me at the hospital that I work in. They can explain things to me that I do not understand.

      If you want to be a scientist today you should learn to listen to other people. That is because you cannot be an expert in everything, and will need people to help you with the things you are not an expert in.
