• Question: What would happen if I put a flame into liquid nitrogen?

      Liquid nitrogen has a layer of Nitrogen gas just on top of it.
      So as you get the flame closer, it will go out!

      If you poke it in quickly it will go out and lots of nitrogen gas will boil off the liquid nitrogen and waft aross the floor in all directions at once.

      But Liquid Nitrgen does that no mater what you poke in it. =)
