• Question: What do you get if you mix liquid nitdrogen with mercury?

      If you used LOTS of mercury.. a cannonball! Or a really large bullet.

      The temperature of liquid nitrogen is much much lower than the temperature needed to make mercury a solid.

      So if you dropped some mercury (a liquid at room temperature) into -200 degrees celsius liquid nitrogen… you’ll get solid mercury!

      P.s. I really liked this question – it made me think!

      Yep..
      Solid mercury!
      but ( go a little colder, and ) you can also freeze air into a solid too 🙂
