• Question: have you ever "messed around" at work? and if so, what did you do?

      Hi curiositycube,

      I’ve messed around quite a lot at work, but it’s normally been things like having fun with my friends, not playing around with the equipment. You see, I’ve spent most of my research life working with lasers and they can be really dangerous, so you always have be very careful. There isn’t really any such thing as “joking around” with lasers. The equipment is often quite expensive too, so you really don’t want to break it.

      I’ve messed around a bit when I’ve been doing science demos for kids, though… For example, my friend and I used to give a demonstration where we would stand on each other while lying on a bed of nails! 😉
