      No one knows, but there have always been theories and predictions. Scientists believe that the sun will die in about 5 billion years – then humans definitely won’t be able to live on the earth any more.

      Agree with Sascha, unless we get hit by a large meteor or comet before then. That might not destroy the planet, but could certainly spell the end for all of us!
