• Question: What inspired you to study parasites?

      During my undergraduate degree i studied a course in parasitology and was astounded by how many different parasites there are and the various ways they infect a whole range of animals. I then got the opportunity to do some fieldwork with small mammals, such as mice and voles, looking at the parasites in their poo and how the two species pass parasites between them which i found fascinating.
