Question: What interested you to get into Oceanography?

I am from the highlands in Mexico, 10 hrs away from the ocean, the first time I saw the ocean it was fascinating, I didn’t understand what kept waves going all the time, the creatures that the fisherman brought out were crazy cool… I didn’t know oceanography existed, so I wanted to be a Marine Biologist, then in high school, I found out about this degree and figure they teach you everything about the ocean: chemistry, biology, physics, geology. I thought it would be great to understand the ocean as a whole and went for it!
