That is the heart of my research indeed!
In my research, I aim to develop new drugs that treat patients who suffer from obesity and diabetes (two very nasty metabolic diseases that happen when energy consumption and intake are imbalanced!).

Just to add some stats to build up the picture here: In every 10 adults worldwide, 1 is obese (super fat). Each obese patient has over 80% higher chance to develop diabetes (very high blood sugar content) which links to developing heart or circulatory diseases like stroke and heart attacks! I hope that my research may discover a new drug target and help improve the quality of life of these patients!
