      Seawater freezes at about -2 degrees Celsius, which is 2 degrees colder than the freezing point of normal freshwater that we drink.

      This means that if you go diving near the north or south pole (which some scientists get to do) you will need some seriously warm wetsuits because the water would be below 0 degrees!

      Once the seawater has been frozen into ice, it can then get even colder. Some of the ice in Antarctica is as cold as -40 degrees!
