• Question: how do the x-rays help you in your research with sea water?

      The X-rays help me see what’s going on inside the frozen seawater. There’s simply no other way to look inside in such amazing detail! When we do look inside it, what we see is a spongey kind of structure which is filled with lots of tiny little salt crystals.
