  Nice question. The main problem is greenhouse gases. These are the reason main reason why sea ice is melting. The gases get pumped out of our cars and power stations and slowly warm our planet us. There are way of helping to reduce climate change like wind power, solar power and other renewable energy, but these changes will take a long time to have any effect!
