• Question: why when you rub your eyes when you are tired it makes you feel more tired?

      I don’t know! I just tried to look it up, but I only found something saying that rubbing your eyes slows your hear rate- but I’m not so sure about that source (it was from a magazine, not a scientific paper). Sorry! 🙁

      I tried to look this up too and when we rub our eyes it stimulates tear production, which may try to “refresh” our eyes but I’m not 100% sure! I also saw the thing about heart rate but like Nancy, I’m not too sure about it! 🙂

      OK this is completely not scientific – just an observation, but:

      Have you ever noticed that rubbing your eyes seems to be contagious? That is, when someone starts doing it, others do it too? This seems to happen with yawning as well (when someone starts, people nearby do it too!)

      No idea if this is a real effect, but keep an eye out (sorry) for it
