When we measure how long it takes for some one to recover their vision after a flash of light we tend to use a very bright flash, at the moment I am investigating how dim the flash can and still give us useful information. The dimmer the flash, the less uncomfortable for the patient and the quicker the test will be, but a quick test with poor information is no use to anyone.
I am also spending a lot of time checking a device we built for another experiment we hope to run later in the year.
