Hi there!
I’m with Andrew on this one! I can honestly say that I don’t have a clue! You would need a pretty large backpack for supplies though! 🙂

I think you would be able to travel ‘forever’ if forever means to the end of a human life… I know that astronauts who are in space for a long time start to have problems with muscle atrophy (meaning their muscles get smaller) because they aren’t getting the appropriate amount of exercise- we get a lot of exercise just by walking and fighting gravity to stay upright! So it would be hard to stay healthy in space for a long time. Maybe you should ask this in the Astronomy Zone- they might know more than Vision Scientists!
Andrew I would answer the obvious, water lots and lots of water. And food wise carrots, cucumbers and potatoes. The only thing is nowadays it would be impossible to carry the amount needed to sustain a life time. But thank you for replying
I agree. Firstly the quality of the food needs to be very high quality and secondly, you need to adapt to the conditions in space as that can take a very long time. If you don’t adapt fast enough you would probably die quicker. Also you must need an infinite source of oxygen and vitamin d, which you get from the sun, but since you don’t have any ozone layer, it wouldn’t really be as healthy and maybe even dangerous. Another thing is that you have to get the vitamin d to get in your body via your hair, or you could just take vitamin d pills. But about vitamin d pills, you, again, need an infinite amount of that. But you wouldn’t have a source to get new pills because soon enough they WILL expire.
This is why I think that you cannot live in outer space forever.
