I hadn’t heard about this before, but it sounds like it’s not real to me (as a scientist, you have to be sure about your sources, and none of the links had reliable sources). But it is true that not sleeping can cause hallucinations, and in an extreme cases of insomnia (not sleeping) is can cause death. People who have ‘Fatal familial insomnia’ (deadly not sleeping that runs in families – genetic disorder), they move into a state where they can’t sleep at all. After about 6-9 months of this, they will pass away.

      Hey Isaac!
I had never heard of this before so I looked it up online today. Like Nancy says, the sources for this are pretty unreliable. However, the experiment may have taken place (a lot of strange research was done in the 1940s!!) but I don’t think the results would be as gruesome as the stuff I read on creepypasta! 🙂

      Hi!
I agree with the others here – the links you get when you search don’t look very reliable. You’ve have to be careful about what you believe on the web 🙂
