      Hi there!
      Great question! It really depends on the type of damage. A lot of the work I do looks at eyes where the blood vessels aren’t working properly because of diabetes. If the person doesn’t get any treatment then they might eventually go completely blind. In this case, it’s much better to try to prevent the damage from progressing, using stem cells for example, rather than waiting until the person has completely lost their vision. Prevention is much better than cure! Hope this helps to answer your question! 🙂
