Ah great question! No T-rex’s I’m afraid, but I have found a few exciting things!
I have some mesosaur vertebrates (a marine reptile from the cretaceous 65 million years ago), and even a part of a flipper from a quarry in Cambridge.
I have a toe joint and other bone fragments I picked up in Dorset (unfortunately not enough to attribute to a specific dinosaur).
I also have a tooth from a herbivourous dinosaur.
The best fossil I found though I couldn’t take home because it was under a ledge on a cliff in spain were a set of iguanadon foot prints, you colud make out the exact shape of the toes, how big the foot was, and the tracks went on for about 50 meters!
By measuring the size of the foot and the length of the strides we could work out how tall the dinosaur was and how fast it was going. This particular iguanadon wasn’t in a hurry!
Most of my fossil collection is made up of ammonites, trilobites, corals and plants though because they are easy to find in the UK.
One day I will go to wyoming or China and bring back a dinosaur skull. That’s the dream!
