You might not think so, but this is a question about evolution. Evolution works because every time a new person is born they have some stuff from their mum and some stuff from their dad and some random things that come from nowhere. That means that if the random things are good, they’ll have lots of babies themselves and pass on the good things, and if the random things are bad, they’ll have fewer babies and the bad things won’t get passed on. If the random things aren’t good or bad, like dimples or multiple crowns, they don’t make a difference, so they get passed on to some people and just sort of hang around.
