• Question: why do boys have reproductive systems couldnt females just develop babbies by themself

      Yes they could, and in a some species they do. The problem is that if you want your species to survive, you need to have lots of different kinds of people, and by having two different sexes we can make sure that all of the babies that are born will have a mixture of two different people’s genes, and that means that they’ll be a bit different to both their parents, and different from their brothers and sisters too, because each baby gets a different mixture. That way we’re all different, and that makes us healthier. It also makes conversations a bit more interesting.

      Watching Blue Planet II the other day -I learned that some fish are female, then in later life they become male so they can pass on their genes more. I’ve never seen that before!
