• Question: What's your bucket list for the future?

      I want to see the Aurora. I saw it from home once, when there was a really big solar storm, but it was kind of disappointing: the sky in the north went a bit green, but it wasn’t like you see in photos or read about in books, and I would really like to go to the north of Norway or somewhere like that and see it when it’s really bright.

      If you’d asked the question three months ago, I would have said “see a total eclipse” too, but I got to do that in Oregon in the USA in August, so that’s that one ticked off.

      I can vouch that the aurora is amazing, Duncan – I recommend a trip to Iceland in the winter!

      My bucket list for the near future consists of:
      – Walk the West Highland Way
      – Get my Mountain Leader award
      – Do some kayaking/canoeing
      – Learn loads about trees and plants
      – Force people to come with me on walks so I can bore them with knowledge about trees and plants.
      – Get more chickens.
