Physics, because we got to give each other electric shocks from the Van de Graaf, and because we worked out how to melt through a ruler and set a pencil on fire. I’m not going to tell you how to do either of those things, partly because your teachers would get mad, and partly because half the fun is working it out yourself.
It changed over time. I started off liking biology best, them chemistry, then physics. Later on I realised that while you have to break things down to be able to learn them, some of the most exciting science is at the boundaries between the subjects. For example, I did my physics research on biological molecules, which was fascinating. And now I use maths to try to understand “real world” problems.
