At the moment I’m reading The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, which is very long and very sad and very hard going. The last book that I read was La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman, which came out last month and was very exciting and very fun and far too short for me. I can’t wait for the next one!

I’m reading a book called ‘Mission Accomplished’ at the moment. It’s by a journalist who reported on a number of war-based things like the breakup of Yugoslavia and then the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11. He revisits his old articles and comments on how accurate his predictions were. It’s a great lesson in history and written pretty understandably I think
