Question: If all the factory's were shutdown to reduce global warming would it have any effect?

It would have a big effect on the amount of carbon dioxide that we are releasing into the atmosphere, and eventually that would have a big effect on global warming, but in the meantime it would have an even bigger effect on us: we wouldn’t be able to buy any new things, even to replace old broken ones, and there wouldn’t be as much food, and millions, maybe billions of people would lose their jobs, and then they’d have no money to buy food or things from anyone else, and then the people who sell things wouldn’t have any money to buy any food or things from anyone else, and then things would get really bad. Global warming is a really difficult problem to solve, and we should all keep trying to think of ways to help.
