Question: Have you tested your theory in lots of ways and haven't been able to disaprove it.

That’s a really good question about how science is done. I don’t really have a theory of my own, because I’m an experimental scientist and I’m trying to use theories to make useful tools. The cool thing is that by using the theories, I’m actually testing them: we know that if the theory is robust then we should be able to make the imaging system that I’m working on, so if we can’t make it work then that’s a knock against the theory. If we can make work, that’s another test that shows that the theory is good. One of the hardest things about testing a theory is thinking of the tests, but if you let people know about it then they’ll try to make things work using your theory and test it for you in ways you’d never think of. That’s why it’s so important to do science as a group.
