• Question: Do You Like Star Wars? If So Could Lightsabers Be A Real Thing?

      I do like star wars, but I don’t think I can see how lightsabers would work. The problem with lasers is that they don’t like to just stop: if you want to contain a laser like lightsabers seem to, you need a mirror at the far end. The only thing that I can think of is that they’re not based on lasers or light at all, and that the light that comes out of them is just because whatever they really are made out of is glowing, like a piece of metal that’s been heated white-hot. If they can be made for real, dibs on the first one.

      i do like starwars. my favorite is return of the jedi. i’m looking forward to the new one coming out too. i’m not sure how close we are to making a light saber but i googled it quickly and came across this news article.
