• Question: Can computers keep getting faster?

      For a while, at least. There’s something called Moore’s Law that sort of says that computers double in speed every 18 months or so (it was originally about the number of transistors, but it means pretty much the same thing), but that’s sort of stopped being true. Computers are still getting faster, it’s just that the speed that they’re getting faster at is slowing down. Often when this has happened in the past, there’s beena bit of a jump and it gets back on track, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
