• Question: Why did you choose the brain

      Good question!

      I chose the brain because I believe there is a big gap of knowledge to do with how the brain functions, compared to the rest of the body. And our brains are so essential to everything! Though there are lots of other things that happen in our bodies and cells that we don’t know and that are really important. I also chose it because I want to help tackle problems with the brain in early and late life that humans experience.

      Even though I study a process in the brain, my knowledge can be used to study other things that happen in our body. That is one of the great things about being a scientist, you can use what you know to help in other areas too!
