      Great question, Leonard! The answer is, not directly but yes, they were.

      All life started out as a very simple organism, one that was probably only made up of one cell. Over time, life evolved to become more complicated, eventually leading to bacteria (still only single-celled!). Over even more time, things got more complex, eventually leading to the formation of dinosaurs.

      We are all related in this way, so just as bacteria are related to dinosaurs, we are also related to both of these organisms! Cool huh 😛
