Great question. I haven’t really sat down and counted out how many things I have found. It’s tough to decide where one thing ends and another begins – there are so many parts to one experiment or one project!
Let’s see: I have worked of 5 small projects before starting my large PhD project. I have made progress in each project and found out more than was know before, so let’s say 6 distinct things, with lots of little details in project .
The things I have found out include the structure of a virus that infects everyone as a baby, how the protein machines inside fungus work, and how my current protein of interest affects bone.
