They have not yet found a cure for dementia, they have only recently began to understand dementia and still have a long way to go.
I don’t think that they will find a cure soon, but with all areas in science there might be a huge discovery which means that we are on the way to knowing how to cure it.
Currently they are able to find out when somebody has the early signs of dementia much better than and give them medicine to slow down the the dementia’s effects on the body.

Dementia is a group of diseases in which the affected person’s memory and mental function is affected. There can be many causes for dementia, but a supposed major player is the formation of things called prions, which are sticky proteins that have gone rogue and form copies of themselves in bundles, and can overwhelm the brain cells in which they form. A lot current research is going into finding cures for this. The are many other possible reasons why dementia occurs, all the more import to continue research into this subject!
