        It really depends on the drug.

        They can have short term consequences, such as ending up in the hospital very ill, or they could be fatal. They could also cause you to cause harm to yourself or other people. It varies per person.

        They also have long term consequences, marijuana for example has been known to cause schizophrenia when used over periods of time.
